Playbook: Seattle Seahawks
Formation: Strong H Pair TE
Play: Post Shot
Setup:
- Put the X/Square receiver on a streak
Reads:
- The main read on the play is the A/X receiver across the middle past the zones
- The check down on this play is the B/O receiver on the drag
Overview: This play destroys zone coverage, zone beaters can be very hard to come by and every scheme needs at least one. This play is great to mix in with the rest of the plays in this scheme. It also gives the opponent something else to worry about so they do not focus too much on certain routes.
Playbook: Seattle Seahawks
Formation: Strong H Pair TE
Play: HB Stretch
Setup:
- Motion the fullback a step to the right and hike it
Overview: The stretch runs are some of the most effective runs in the game. This play can break for huge chunks of yardage. With the motion of the fullback it appears the same as the other runs in this scheme which makes it very hard to defend against.
Playbook: Seattle Seahawks
Formation: Strong H Pair TE
Play: HB Dive
Setup:
- Motion the fullback a step to the right and hike it
Overview: This run is great to gain yards in short yardage situations. This play will be very effective to mix in after using the other run plays in this scheme. Especially when the opponent starts looking for the outside runs it will be very easy to beat them inside.
Playbook: Seattle Seahawks
Formation: Strong H Pair TE
Play: F Trail
Setup:
- Put the X/Square receiver on a Drag
- Put the running back on a Wheel route
Reads:
Zone reads
- The main read on the play is the RB/R1 receiver across the middle of the field
- If that is covered his the drag underneath
Man reads:
- The main read against man is the A/X receiver on the corner route
- The second read is the Running back out of the back field
- The check down against man is the drag underneath
Overview: This play is very valuable to have, it can beat both man and zone coverage. This should be the base play for this formation due to the fact that it can beat both man and zone. This play will open up the other plays while also opening up the running lanes.
Playbook: Seattle Seahawks
Formation: Strong H Pair TE
Play: Inside Zone Split
Setup
- Motion the fullback a step to the right and hike it
Overview: The motion in this play makes unbelievable blocking. Do not use turbo on the initial hand off until you cut up the middle to the left. The running plays in this scheme will give the opposition a headache with the multiple ways you can run out of the exact same look.
You posted the wrong video for HB Stretch.
Thanks, it has been fixed now!
Hello. Thank you for such a good job!
You put the wrong video for the HB Stretch play 🙂
Oh thank you. It has been fixed now.
It will not allow me to snap it right after i motion the FB. Is there something im missing? it wont snap until he is all the way out the right
Hello,
AR12 is right. It doesn’t allow me to hike until the FB is all the way out.
Any update on this? 🙂
I’m wondering the same thing, I feel like this play will only be effective if you can run it with him 3-4 steps out not all the way
Quit suggestion for PAT.. If you you know you missed it hold the A Button until you get the penalty & try again haha.
want snap when move fb
Can’t get the fullback to motion one step and snap the ball at the same time
Wow thanks for the quick replies. Come on guys this is a valid question
What was the question? Whatever it was must have been overlooked
