Playbook: Minnesota Vikings
Formation: 4-3 Under
Play: Edge Sting
Setup:
- Base Align
- Spread the defensive line and crash them down
- Bluff blitz the OLB on the right side
- Bluff blitz the DE on the left side of the screen into a zone
Overview: This play brings pretty consistent heat right up the middle while only rushing 4 guys.
Playbook: Minnesota Vikings
Formation: 4-3 Under
Play: Cover 3
Setup:
- Base Align
- Shift your defensive line to the right
- Crash your defensive line down
- Spread your linebackers
- Blitz the OLB on the left side of the screen
Overview: Make sure the blitzing OLB is lined up outside of your blitzing defensive end. Also, it is usually a good idea to user control the blitzing OLB and after he takes a step or 2 in on his blitz, cover the left/middle of the field.

Play: FS Fire 3
Setup:
- Base Align

Play: Sam 3 Press
Setup:
- Base Align

Setup:
- Base Align
- Spread your defensive line
- Put both defensive ends in yellow zones
- (Optional) Put both defenders in light blue zones into purple zones
Overview: This play locks up the entire field. It is especially effective if your opponent starts to block extra guys because he is afraid of the pressure defenses from this formation.
Finally a 4-3 playbook. Looking forward to applying this to the Bills roster.
I find it quicker to hot route players by double tapping the group, selecting player, then hot route. For example on the 43 edge sting play: L1 twice (dline group), square (DE), hot route. For the OLB it would be R1 twice, circle, hot route. This way you don’t have to scroll through players and if for some reason you can’t get the hot routes off in time you’re still on the guy you want to user and not stuck with someone else.
I can’t find the cover 3 play. Is it 4-3 Under Cover 3 Cloud?
Yes cover 3 cloud will work.
A few things, on the 43 under cover 3 is the play called cover 3 cloud? Also, your write up says to blitz the right of screen olb but in your video you do it with the left of screen olb.
Sorry about that, I updated it, it is the left of screen olb
In practice mode why doesn’t my while dline shift? It’s always one of the ends thst doesn’t shift properly which messes up the blitz
It is just something that happens randomly.
i cant find 43 “under” on ps4 what is it called? ODD -STACK-OVER?
I do know that it is in the Vikings playbook as well as many others.
under is odd
Where is Cover 3 in 4-3 under? I see in the Viking playbookCover 3 sky wk, 3 cloud show 2, Cover 3 Cloud
Cover 3 Sky does fine.
Should we follow the setup in the video or the text setup. I noticed that sometimes the setup is different from what it says on the video or the text
Always go with the video setup.
Just speed on dline no other attributes ?
Speed is the most important attribute on defense.
