A Few User Rushing Techniques For Fast Pressure in Madden 21

Rushing the quarterback with your user defender is a defensive strategy that is becoming more and more popular in Madden 21.

In this Madden School Film Room, we are going over a few effective ways to do it.

Playbook: 46

Formation: Big Nickel Over G

Play: Cover 2 Man (Outside User Rush)

Setup:

1. Show Blitz
2. Pinch the defensive line
3. Slant outside the defensive line
4. User the left of the field safety and user rush off the edge

Overview: In this video we break down how to user rush from the outside. This is highly recommended to be used against Shotgun formations. The video shows various adjustments that can be made to this play. Also, we break down a way to blitz one person and get instant pressure in this video.

Formation: Big Nickel Over G

Play: SS Blitz 2 (User Rush)

Setup:

1. Press Coverage
2. Pinch the defensive line
3. Slant outside the defensive line
4. Blitz the linebacker on the left of the screen
5. User the right of screen linebacker and run through the A-Gap on the snap

Overview: Here we are breaking down a popular user blitz that will allow you to sack the QB instantly. This blitz makes it basically impossible for the opponent to ever pass out of an under center formation. Which this defense in general essentially takes under center out of the game completely.

Play: Tampa 2

Setup:

1. Press Coverage
2. Shift the defensive line right
3. Slant outside the defensive line
4. Blitz all linebackers
5. Blitz the slot cornerback (if necessary)

Overview: This video we are breaking down one of the best defensive plays in the game. We are showing you how to get instant A-Gap pressure against any formation the opponent uses. Make sure to stand as shown in the video and put your user in a zone. Blitzing the slot cornerback is not necessary if the opponent is sending all their routes out. This formation is great against the run making it even better against under center formations.
